I have a 15" sub capable of handling 1000 watts, and I have a 1000 watt amp. I have checked all the connections with a volt meter and they are all good. After about a day or so, my sub no longer works. I have the amp set to the speaker maufacturers suggested settings and I have had the gain and bass boost at less than half way up. I also have not had my stereo all the way up. I have looked at the subs and see no physical damage. I am thinking it is blown voice coils, but I am not sure. If it is, what could have caused this and if not what else could it be.
I have 2 of these same exact subs and have had the same thing happen with both.Thanks in advance.
