My lanzar vibe 15 1000wrms dvc4ohm sub finally blew. Lasted longer than I expected. Was powering it by a mb quart onyx 1600d at 2 ohms. Amps 1 ohm stable so couldnt even imagine giving sub 1600wrms. Now I need a new sub. Found a skar vvx 15 dvc 2 ohm on craigslist for 150. Ive heard peoplle giving this sub 1100-1600wrms as a daily driver, does any one have any input on this setup, box i haave would be around 1..85 cuft sealed after displlacemeent

Thats my next step. Big 3 upgrade. Ho alt and a good batt. But prob not till christmas. shopvac dcon 15 looks ok. Ive personally heard an xcon. Thought it sounded awesome . My budget for sub is 200-300 shipped. ssd , sundown sa15, dcon, ssa vvx 15, new type r, lanzar opti , kicker cvx , poweracoustic mofo, are all subs ive seen on craigslit or on sonicelectronics in my prrice range. What is everyones top 3 all help greatly appreciated

the SSA GCON, XCON. Fi SSD and Ascendant Audio Chaos, are among the best soinding subs in the price range, all the subs you mention except the DCON (very low power) are lower quality.

The net volume is ok, they recommend a 33Hz tuning but I guess you can tune that low if you understand what you are getting.

No real benefit to tune that low IMO
