Does it matter, and which one emits a cleaner bass. |

From those two the Alpine is the better sub and is more expensive. Also whichever you get buy online with amazon.com or sonicelelctronix.com to avoid paying more. If you want a real high quality sub which will outperform both of the above go with a Fi SSD subwoofer for about 200. |

I'm probably going to go with the Alpine, but Im going to get an amp to match it , and the alpine has 1000W RMS and 3000W Max power, so if I get a 1000W Aircooled Amp from Kenwood, would that be enough, or should I get and 1800W one, on another note is 1800W really neccessary because it is a lot more expensive than the 1000W one? |

Also consider this one: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44470_MB-Quart-FX1.1000.html Runs very cool and are CEA certified. |

Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1710 Registered: May-09 | Ok those MRX have also overheating problems, the RF is OK if you are OK with the price (but take a look at a recent thread on the amps forum with a RF amp that blew apparently for no reason), the Hifonics and the MB Quart I recommended are ok amps, the MBs are also efficent, they don't overheat at all and go easy on your electrical so it's also a good choice, for some more you can also get and AQ1200d which is also efficient, I like and own RF but honestly they are not the end of all things, is just a quality product - overpriced, to some extent similar to the JL Audio brand. |

Plus I don't have tons to spend but, I plan on getting it before the sale on it ends, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see, its just a tough decision when it comes to amps because you dont want to pick the wrong one..But thanks again for your advice. |

Gold Member Username: Joe1234Post Number: 1711 Registered: May-09 | Other than that Alpine all will do a good job, don't be concerned, are all decent stuff, the RF will have the cool factor, if you can spend the extra cash I think is worth it. Performance will actually depend more on your box design, your electrical, and how you setup crossovers, gains etc. Lots of fun without a doubt, best of luck. |
