I have an alpine stereo and just bought subwoofers for my car. Everything is hooked up and they work through The radio but not through auxiliary or cd.
Commonly happens that you connect the head unit's blue wire to turn on the amp instead of the blue/white wire. Since the blue wire is used to activate the power antenna then it only turns on when the radio is on.
