so my buddy got 2 type r's but one is a duel 4 and one is a duel 2, he wants to run them both. is it possable to hook them both up to one amp and for both of them to be recieveing the same amount of power? maybe some kinda coil configuration idk. he wants to run both on different amps and try to match the power on each amp but i thought this to be to hard to do. (one amp being a mono channel amp of coarse)

There is a method but the system would be limited to half it's power using a single amp so it's a no go.

I'd just trade one, depending on the amplifier impedance stability, they are $90 on ebay so it's cheaper than getting a second monoblock. You could just end up paying for the shipping of the new sub or so.
