Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone is running subs pulled from a home theater system? I picked up 2 brand new definitive technology mythos super tower subs that I'm running in a custom box but I am going to build new custom enclosures for them, they sound amazing by the way. I was just seeing if I was the only person who went down a route like this.

Home subs aren't designed for car use. Their sensitivity and power ratings are for a more fine tuned atmosphere and input signal. Not saying you can't do anything cause most of us break the "rules" everyday anyway.

Not to mention the cost difference. Some advanced home speakers run in the $1000's while even a moderately advanced car sub is $200-$400. There are extremes in both worlds but you get my drift.
