I picked up a pair of DD3515e's a little while back. Finally getting some time to build the box next weekend hopefully and need a little help with the design. It's going in the rear seat area of a Dodge Quad Cab. Measurements are 36W x 24H x 21D. Anyone got any suggestions?

I would recommend a bigger box.
Looking at your measurements, you have 8.75cuft gross to work with, and that is assuming a single lair box.

I'm guessing you have a 60/40 split in the back seat and you are trying to only used the 60split side. Is there any way you can go wider than 36".

Sub/port up works well in those vehicles though.

Yeah I'm removing the 60 completely. I need to keep the 40 portion in. 36" is as wide as I can go, thats door panel to the seat. I could make it taller. Those measurements were going to the window line, but If I've got to make it taller thats no problem... I don't plan on competing.
What's a good amount of port space? and what tuning should I go for with these?

Well, you might try those external measurements w/ sub forward ports up using 6" flared ports.

Just double the baffle and use 'window' style bracing in the center of the box. 3-6" ports stock length will give you ~7.25cuft net w/ ~37hz tuning and should slam. Mount the subs as low on the box as you can.

Cool. Thanks for the help. Any idea what that tunes it to?

With the design I posted, you won't have to cut the PSP ports.

Just keep them stock length and it will tune to ~37hz.

What is "stock length"? Just want to make sure the ones i grab from a local shop aren't too long or short.
Also, DD rates these at 1200rms...but would a mmats 3000.1 fit good with these subs?

Stock length is 18".

Yes, 3k would be fine.
Hell, I run mine on a DD M2a each.

Right now it's either mmats 3000.1 or a sundown 3000d... I'm leaning more to the mmats because of the size of the amps.

Also Canaan... theres a guy on CA sellin some 8" flares for $30/ea... anyway I could make those work for this?

I would stick w/ the PSP 6" ports in this case. Those 8" ports would have to be longer.
