Sunday, September 12, 2010 - 12:04 GMT Not expecting miracles from a single 8, but if you guys had to choose, which sub would perform best: SA-8, RL-i8, or a DD 1508? No one has bought the 500/1 so I'll be running 500 rms one of these drivers.

Sunday, September 12, 2010 - 15:47 GMT I'd go with the RL but most here would say the DD.

Sunday, September 12, 2010 - 20:00 GMT I'm a little bias, but I have seen and built some sick setups w/ the DD1508's. So my vote goes to DD1508d4 w/ your amp. (they are available in D2 now also) I like to match them up w/ the DD C2b (500w+) @ 2ohm. They are pretty picky when it comes to box design and loading though.

Sunday, September 12, 2010 - 22:58 GMT The enclosure I had in there was tuned at 32 Hz and it peaked in my car at 45 Hz if that tells you anything.

Monday, September 13, 2010 - 05:29 GMT AQ did offer an 8" for awhile...it was the old SD series, back when they offered 3 lines (SD, SD2.5, HD3) They dropped the US-made subs and have all motors built in China now. Thus the "C" in their current lines.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - 12:04 GMT Hey Canaan, what do DD 1508s with a carbon fiber dust cap retail for? How much do you think they're worth used in good condition?
