Bronze Member Username: GutteerPost Number: 97 Registered: Feb-10 | i know this is stupid of me but can i wire 2 of these subs to get a 1 ohm load on and AQ 1200d i dont see anything about it on their website |
Silver Member Username: RosrockMichigan Post Number: 458 Registered: Mar-09 | use a digital multimeter and find out if they are dual 4's. if they are then yes, 1 ohm load total. if they are dual 2's or single 4 ohms than no. |
Silver Member Username: M_kimmel843Post Number: 160 Registered: Apr-10 | They are dual 4 ohm woofers so, yes you can wire them to 1 ohm. Just wire them in parallel. |

Bronze Member Username: GutteerPost Number: 98 Registered: Feb-10 | SWEETNESS that means i can get my system going for cheaper than goin with Type R's and these are even better awesome |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 864 Registered: Sep-09 | better take pic's. |
Bronze Member Username: GutteerPost Number: 100 Registered: Feb-10 | well its gonna be a while but i most definitely will |
Silver Member Username: CwruckPost Number: 371 Registered: Feb-10 | oh your going to love that set up those sdc's are much better subs than type r's they get crazy loud for their price |
Silver Member Username: GutteerPost Number: 101 Registered: Feb-10 | thanks thats great to know but due to being 16 i have to pay for insurance and gas so it will be good while before getting the system even close to ready cause as my sub total stands right now its around 1 grand for the stuff i need |
Silver Member Username: CwruckPost Number: 372 Registered: Feb-10 | good stuff man, good thing is your only 16. you want bass. thats cool, almost every young kid does, but most waste their money on buying multiple systems because they dont know how to properly set it up. now of course if you tell a 16 yr old kid they dont know how to do it, they will think your full of bs and wont listen to anything. good thing for you is there is lots of help here and you have made up your mind for the system you want to buy. and honestly its one of the best you can get without making electrical upgrades. now you still wont be able to run that amp at full tilt but it will still be close enough to that it doesnt really matter. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 868 Registered: Sep-09 | i still have my subs from my first system. some how. |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 103 Registered: Feb-10 | ha funny deathoob and cwruck i know exactly what you mean i have this friend that just insists everything he got is gonna just "BANG" its down right stupid makes me want to say you are stupid and dont know about anything of actual quality |
Silver Member Username: Boston_splHighland, CA United States Post Number: 290 Registered: Nov-08 | LoL Yea, I think we all know someone like that. |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 104 Registered: Feb-10 | but the advantage of having those friends is that when you do get a quality system and show them they know it also another question besides doing the big 3 do i have to get 2 performance batteries or just one to hook up in the trunk and leave the other stock |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 882 Registered: Sep-09 | for systems over 1800 watts you just replace the batt under the hood and one in the back. but if you have a strong alt maybe only one good one. |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 105 Registered: Feb-10 | well i will look up my alt then and im just gonna get a optima redtop for the trunk and leave the other what it is cause its a new battery anyway |

Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11182 Registered: Jul-06 | Don't get an optima, they suck big time. Even the deka would be a way better choice |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 110 Registered: Feb-10 | well right now im just looking for good but cheap not the best |
Platinum Member Username: Insearchofbass2 hifonics 2607s, 2dcSounds12xls SPL\idmax12SQ Post Number: 14870 Registered: Jun-04 | the sears plantnium batteries would crush those other batteries because they are odesseys in disguise |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11184 Registered: Jul-06 | Well optima does not = good... by any means.. so yea you could go with the deka. Also look into sears diehard platimum, not sure on prices but i hear they are made by the company the makes the odyssey brand, VERY good quality batteries. |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 112 Registered: Feb-10 | but the cost is really the main concern right now |
Platinum Member Username: Insearchofbass2 hifonics 2607s, 2dcSounds12xls SPL\idmax12SQ Post Number: 14872 Registered: Jun-04 | spend the extra they are worth the 199 price tag |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 113 Registered: Feb-10 | omfg thats a lot holy cow |
Platinum Member Username: Insearchofbass2 hifonics 2607s, 2dcSounds12xls SPL\idmax12SQ Post Number: 14874 Registered: Jun-04 | it will crush the other batteries |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 114 Registered: Feb-10 | it better with that price tag |
Gold Member Username: Goodie_goopMid town, Texas U.S. Post Number: 1227 Registered: Oct-06 | ...thats not very expensive for a good battery... |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11186 Registered: Jul-06 | Thats a good price... my odyssey branded battery cost that plus shipping |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 115 Registered: Feb-10 | that is expensive for a kid that only has 2 part time jobs with a car to pay off, gas and insurance to pay but on a side note i got my 6x9s for my system granted they are Duals which arent exactly the best i got both of them for $20 |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 940 Registered: Sep-09 | i almost feel like i should send you some starter equipment. just to tide you over until you can get the parts you really want. |
Silver Member Username: GutteerFort atkinson/Marshall, WI Post Number: 116 Registered: Feb-10 | ha dont worry about it i will get the system i want eventually |
