When people talk about 3/4 inch and 1 inch slugs what not whats that mean? also why are there 8 leads on my d2 recone kit, why not just 4 thicker ones?

The "slugs" are the magnet slugs. The rings between the top and bottom plates in the motor.

There are 8 leads to allow for flex. Thicker leads would see more stress and fatigue, the multiple thinner leads can move more freely. Also, they allow for higher current flow.

it is the thickness of the magnet on the motor. Usually there are multiple stacks now days. when they say its double stacked and triple stacked. just means how many slugs are in there and the 3/4 or 1" is just the thickness of each one.
