Hey, so I have just finished making my ported box for two 12" kicker l5. 4.4c/f box, I have it ported out the back into the cabin, with the back seat down. But I have noticed that the bass hits much harder with the trunk open rather than down, and was told that was because of cancellation issues.

Is there anyway to correct this? Please help, i want to get the most I can out of my setup

I'm not sure I understand how you have the box set up. Any pics?

How much room is the box taking up in your trunk? If the box is really big and after closing the trunk, there isn't much room for air to move, it may be constraining the air movement. Almost like the subs being in a sealed enclosure vs. ported. Pics would definitely help though.
