Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfLexington, SC USA Post Number: 13345 Registered: Dec-03 | good deal. tell ya what, google "bass box pro download" and "winISD download" get both of those programs and give them a try set for 4th order BP. See how that works. I don't have anything handy for designing a box right now. I'd have to hand draw it, and I gave away my drafting table when I moved. The software will show a response curve though, based on volumes for sealed and ported sides of the box. Find a curve you like. you'll notice that you'll be trading off between low frequency response (being more musical) and high output gain (tuned higher for "one-note" SPL response) That's pretty much how 4th order goes. If you want a flat, musical response, you can get it, but by then you may as well just go ported.. |
