I have a new Rockford Fosgate P3 D212 sub and am looking to buy an amp for to make it sound as good as possible. I just want this thing to pound! The subs 1000 watt peak, 500 RMS. Im semi broke so the cheper the better unless there's a really good one for a little more. Any suggestions? Please help.

do you plan on upgrading or adding another sub soon? If so it would be better to buy a bigger amp and be able to have extra power and save you money overall.
For just a single one you would want about 500 at 1/4 ohms.
Hifonics BXi610 should do around 600 @ 1 ohm

If you want to run 2 eventually then a hifonics 1210 or AQ1200d would work. Either would do about 500 @ 4 ohms then if you add another you can get 1200wrms @ 1 ohm.

Im liken that Hifonics mono sub. Price looks good too. I kinda had my eye on this one:

But the one you suggested looks even better.

I currently have a http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=GM7200F
from my old sub. And it most deff isnt cutting it right now lol. Just blew a fuse.

I was powerin a http://www.amazon.com/Polk-MOMO-MM2124-4-ohm-subwoofer/dp/B0002DFIMK and it worked just fine.

Im gna build a new box for my P3 to the specifications that they reccomend and make it ported. The box i have right now isnt and my buddy said it gets alot lower bass. Im not sure though cause the sound quality is sacraficed right? Whata think?

This is my current box:

That RF amp you posted will not power it fully, it does 320 @ 4 ohms. You need 500 at either 1 or 4 ohms. But i have heard very good things about RF amps in general.
If you built a custom ported enclosure to the subs specs it would have a greater effect than an amp(but more power can help too). RF recommends about 2 cuft with a port tuning of 40hz.

Seems kinda cheap to me due to the price and all But it says it puts out 500rms @ 2 ohms. And i could possibly add a sub latter cause its a 2 channel...

I wouldnt go with hifonics their build quality on the lower models is questionable.
