if you have 400 watt subs and 500 watt amp how much off a problem will that be ( if the amp is not set right will it blow the subs)

the amp is 150 the subs dont say just max which is 400

if you have 1 sub, and you bridge it, i think it will blow. but if you have two...then as far as i know, they shouldn't, because each sub will be given 250 watts.
