I am currently hooking up an aftermarket sub and amp to my stock headunit. I have just realized that my amp has no high level inputs and only the RCA plugs. I want to be able to connect my stock amp to my aftermarket amp tho. Am I going to need a hi-lo converter for this? If so, is this what I should be looking for?:

What exactly does the converter do? How does it work? Do I just plug my RCA cable from my aftermarket amp into the converter, n then speaker wire from the converter to my stock amp? I'm quite the newb at all this car audio stuff so any help would be much appreciated! THANKS!
