To buy* or not to buy.
I've been thinking about buying this DVD Player. It seems to have everything I want, in which it has 4 preamp volts. I would just like some feedback and/or recommendations.

Guess you didn't see the "and/or recommendations. " text in my post.

1-din dvd player motorized 7in, has usb and ipod support. Atleast 3 preamp volts. Under $1000.

SO POLO, RECOMMENDATIONS? ANY?

All you need to know is that it's a Jensen..... don't touch it with a 10ft pole.

i had one. it sucked. boutght it for use in my pure spl tahoe.. didnt skip, BUT got hot, and took up to 3 min to read a cd.. normal store bought cd. a few times it simply wouldnt. the pic. quality was amazing, though. it is an audiovox unit. and believe it or not, they make some of the best lcd's for car use

i bought that same one recently. it was horrible. do not buy it. it skipped my cd's like no other, cd's i had just made, and sq was BAD. buy a used older alpine or pioneer for 350-450 and you will be happy. thats what i did :-) got my new alpine for 365. look around the classifieds section over there. theres a pionneer someone is selling right now for 350 in perfect shape...

Oh, you missed a feature:
Known to stop working after very little use.

Get a pioneer or alpine. Or if you are on a budget, go with a clarion :-)

Alpine and clarion are good stuff. Pioneer used to be good but the newer ones are prone to RCA problems.

you may think there is no difference between a nicer unit with the same specs, but you would be incredibly wrong. my kenwood unit is heed over heels better than my panasonic.

While I haven't used that particulat unit, clarion in general is good. They're not Alpine though, but I wouldn't think twice about getting one.

"Alpine and clarion are good stuff. Pioneer used to be good but the newer ones are prone to RCA problems."

The majority of the RCA problems I have seen are from user error.

"only downside to that unit that i noticed was the 2v preouts.."

What is wrong with 2v preouts?

"What is wrong with 2v preouts?"

absolutly nothing. its something noobs worry about. the varying preout voltage is the sole reason that gain's are put on amps. set your gain correctly, and its really not a problem. if you are that worried about it, there are several nice line driver units out there. also- not all "4v" or whatever volt rca's are created equal. it is important to know at what ohm that was measured...

Exactly visitor.
Also alot of higher end amps do not like high preout voltage ;)
