Kicker L5 Potential

New member Username: Basshead4lifeIowa Post Number: 1 Registered: Jun-08 | I got a 2008 kicker L5 12" dual 2 ohm in a ported box, i got it wired for 4 ohms and bridged on a rf 400.2 amp and with the walmart boomstick i got 137.9 on the dash with a 45 hz 0 db tone and got that same number with young jeezy's song put on. but could it have been more then 137.9 cuz i felt nausaus a few minutes after havin it play that loud. maybe 140's is my guess off 400 watts |

What might a pair of Kicker 12" CompVR's hit when installed in a box 38"x13"x13" (those are inside demensions) with a 3x13 port in front constructed out of 3/4 Particle board. Im powering them with a ZX750.1 amp at 4ohms The so called Birth sheet read "889". I know it may be hard to tell due to so many variable but would any1 have a rough idea? |

I guess in a sense it did. I was sick and bass was the cure. It sounded awesome, and I'm sure that was louder than your L5. But as long as your happy thats all the matters. |

Bronze Member Username: Basshead4lifeIowa Post Number: 12 Registered: Jun-08 | well i went to check where my gain was and it was at 54 volts with the same 45 hz 0 db test tone, this was with the sub not hooked on the speaker outputs, so it was over 400 watts, i didn't know i was clippin the amp. yes i did pay that much for that. was free shipping. i figured what the hell, i want somethin that slams. cuz i've never used a L5 before and was always curious about them. plus ive been in car audio for 8 years and i'm almost 24. so i still got alot of other brands i wanna experience. but this hobby will never die for me. |
