great amp, great sub, bad combo

the pdx is a great amp but the ohm load for a w7 is high...my buddy's 13 (dual 1.5) has to be run at 3 ohms! the pdx doesn't provide enough power for that sub at 3 ohms...Get the jl 1000/1 and call it a day.

Same Power Output - 2U or 4U Configuration
PDX amplifiers have the unique capability to deliver the same power output regardless of 2U and 4U loads. This provides the ultimate in system flexibility and subwoofer configuration diversity.

The amp says same power @ 2 and 4ohm, does that make it 2 THRU 4ohm, or 2 AND 4ohm? That would make a difference.

That would make a nice safe amp on your W7.
It can take alil more power, but the PDX1.1000 will get it done.

Abarca---- I don't know much about car audio. I understand that it could use more power, but would this amp be sufficient for the w7?

Could it be since the rms is 1500w in the 13w7? maybe it needs more juice?

btw, thank you rob for correcting me

and also, i think you'd be happy with the w7, although the w6 would provide veryyy nice bass, the w7 is gonna end up being a bit louder. however, personally, i absolutely love the bass of both w7s and w6s and you'd be happy with both.
