i am thinking about getting this woofer but i am curious if i would be safe going over the RMS on it

http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-ACOUSTIK-15-1300w-CAR-STEREO-SUBWOOFER-AUDIO-SUB_W0QQi temZ170197054641QQihZ007QQcategoryZ18804QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZV iewItem

this speaker is rated for 550WRMS and the amp i have runs at 720WRMS would i be safe to run this Woofer?

not a good idea. i mean you could just turn the gain down on the amp so it was only giving it 550 but usually giving a sub more than its rated for is a bad idea.. with a few exceptions..

if you set your gains right you'll be fine.

It will work find if it is a nonclipping 720 watts whick means clean signal.

If it was me I would look at these subs first.

Pioneer TS-W307
Pioneer Premier TS-1207

i was thinking about getting a Kicker CVR, i want a good thump but a good clean sound, i was debating grabbing an MBQuart Premuim woofer, they get high reguards when it comes to sound quality but not to high on the Thump factor.

AudioQue-SD2.5

Fi-SSD

Which ever sub you decide on make sure that the box you go with is built for that sub. Or you could build your box itss not hard to do.Good Luck
