OK, it's between the RE SE(Fi SSD), Audioque sd2.5, and diamond D6. 12"s, 800 watts rms to power them.

Which ones would fit in smaller(~4 cu. ft.) enclosures? Also, what should each be tuned to? Last question, lol, which would hit lowest and get loudest? Thanks guys.

RE SE(Fi SSD).....defly not the same sub

if you want equipment geared more toward spl, get the ssd, if you wand subs geared more towards sq, get the SE's..

Personally (i owned 2 12" SSds and have heard one 12
Se) I would take the SE

if the enclosure is ported go with the diamonds because ported enclosures are D6's thing they love ported enclosures

o, thanks, i thought somebody had said the se's and ssd's were pretty much the same thing... but then, does the se get loud, compared to the ssd?

looking for sql, want it to get loud, but still sound decent, and hit low(not EXTREMELY low, just low-ER)... under $350-ish.

The sd2.5 will get real low. I had them tuned to 32Hz and believe me they got low and with authority. Just cause AQ recommends a certain tuning doesnt mean you cant use a different tuning. I played Hypnotize, Late Night Tip and Bass I Love You on the sd2.5 12's and they got real low.

I really wish I had took videos when I had them.

Scott, build a box around 2.2-2.5cuft tuned to 32Hz for your sd2.5 and tell me if it doesnt get low.

And zack, what do you mean by this statement?

"well your diamonds get low but if you want to go low but its a twelve twelves will hit harder rather than go lower"

That is so totally not true.

I would bet that Zac has probably heard all of the mentioned subs. And if he says that the diamonds fit the bill for what you want, I would lean in that direction.

The 12" sd2.5's are $139 each before shipping. If I had to guess, I would say $20 shipping....just a guess.

http://www.audioque.com/aq/order.htm

Scott s and sean here should know how much they are shipped.

Or you can email AudioQue and ask.

Their email is sales@audioque.com

Thanks a lot guys.

So, either the D6's or SE's, i'm thinking. Either way, good choices? I know it's really up to me, just wanna know if one is WAY better than the other or something.

^^JK, lol, I'm trying.

Justin, it's that 'would 1 15" be better than 2 12"s' question again then. ...well, would it, at least in this case(with my budget/space)???

That, and then either i would only have 800wrms, or would need a new amp.

"between 35-40 hertz will give you all around sq and spl"

yuck I hate how the typical 40 hz tuned boxes sound ...as a matter of fact I like it to be no higher than 35-36 hz on most subs

i was saying, if i only got one 15" then i would only have one amp. but i have 2 (well, 4, but i'm selling two, lol).

I have two A8000T's(800 wrms @ 2 ohms, x 2 amps)

can you DO an amp to each voice coil...? lol, might be a stupid question, but seems weird to me.

Also, again, would 1 15" be louder than 2 12"s (the ones listed)?

Ok, I've decided either the SE or Diamonds. Depending on whether money is an issue when i go to buy them...not getting minimum wage FTMFL!

But i just got my old kicker compvr's hooked up and planning to sell for a lot more than i payed(got em pretty cheap)...hopefully that helps, lol.
