may get rid of my sx 15 for a 3512,my question is what kinda numbers would one do tuned around 32-34 hz.i thank the 40 hz is a lil high that they reccomend,reason i wanna switch,want a sub to fit in the trunk of a car,gas is to expensive for a big suv needed for a sx 15.help me out ppl

you want to know how many db's that setup will hit?

i hit 143.3db with a single dd9512 with 2500wrms in the trunk of a honda accord. the box i had was kinda too big for the sub. it was tuned to 38hz. i guess if i messed with it a bit i could of improved but just didn't want to invest any more time to it.

i had 3512 on zx750 and it wasnt very loud, out of the trunk. i'd just cram the 15 in there

thats not easy when,i wouldnt put the sx in a box smaller than 4 cubic ft

a single 12 will get loud still. don't worry about numbers chris. that 3512 will not disappoint you.

im going to m.s.,got a bud that runs a car audio shop said he could fit 4 cubic ft in a car.said he could rip out the seats if the trunk opening was to small

I agree with M.S. keep the SX if the dd was louder it wont be that much louder and the SX will sound better overall

^^ SX sound better than a DD3500? You're nuts. I wouldn't trade my 9512 for anything.

9512 and 3500 are too different series and plus have you ever heard an SX it has decent SQ and the output is definately there plus he's comparing a 15" to a 12" and chris i managed to fit a 4 cubic feet box in the trunk of my bonneville so i think your going to be fine. Your gonna be happy with that SX bro trust me i got the same sub ;).

2nd. My bonneville actually get 30 mpg highway which is pretty dayum good.

That bonneville will never get 30 mpg anywhere, not even on the moon! I have the same year engine and have had it since new never even got close to the advertised 28mpg highway.. Polo.

Im not a fan of DD Subs..even tho i own a few...I would keep the SX...

SPL SX>DD3512
SQ SX>DD9500 any of them

you can get the output you want with that sx you just need a meter and time for testng and box building to find what works best for you
