Yes, but take it easy on your bass boost and volume and/or gains. Tones that low actually make the amp work harder than with higher tones so the low tones would be more likely to damage amp than sub if done correctly. The sub just can't be bottoming out and of course the power has to be in the rms power range as well as correct gain and bass boost settings... JMO

Lower the frequency, longer the waveform meaning the sub will be under load longer before it reaches its peak thus providing full or even overexcursion! You can do it but you need to limit power or you can bottom it out. Polo..
