Hey everyone I'm currently having issues with my JVC KD-LX1 that I'm installing into a friends car for his birthday but for some reason I cant get it to work! It started up the first time I powered it up, i was even able to get the cd that was in the head unit out but i turned off the power to my car and then tried to turn it on again and the head unit wouldn't turn on again. Now when i connect it up (car is completely off which is a duh) if i connect the harnesses and then plug in the ground, the unit makes a sound like its loading a cd and all the buttons light up, not the screen, just the buttons. Sorta like it is loading information or something, who knows. Anyone have any ideas?
Even if the wiring set up is wrong, when I first connect it, why would all the buttons light up properly? That to me says that its getting power... thus should turn on. I'm trying to get my hands on a multimeter to make sure power is going through the acc line... any other ideas though?
