the most I ever put on a sub daily was double the power but that was with voltage drop my (lanzar dc 12's)

the only other subs that took double the power daily were my 6.5 tangbands in an abc box but that was with a close listening ear

yeah it would be set correctly, maybe lower depending on how it takes the full 600... it would be from an eD nine.5...

What you think sean? Given atomic's reputation..

Anyone else?

Cal, how much power were you given the manhattan?

dont do it.... u would hardly notice any audible difference between giving it 400 and 600. i say keep it 400 or under.

"just lower ur gain and give it the rigth amount of watts"

thank you blaine, just lower the gain. do you own a dmm? if not go buy one, then look online find a gain voltage calculator enter how many watts you want at what ohm then play a test tone throught the system and using the dmm adjust the gain till it reads the correct voltage.

Well yeah that's obvious but there's quite a difference between 300 watts and 600 watts.

I'll just go with an eD 11Kv.2

the equation....

multiply the watts you want by the ohms, then take the square root of it....that number will be the AC volts that your amp will put out

i got both skies, pick one lol

the 11kv2 is rated at like 450 so itd be safer, but lowering the gain is also an option...

apparently the manhattan is one of the best sq woofers ever built
