decided finally.just gonna get a re 15 sx ported,probably pissed off a few ppl writing on here so much about it.but it says tune it to 34 hz,thank i should go a lil bit lower than that?

sounds more like it,but what does tuning exactley do,is it where it caant play lower hertz than u tune it to,may sound like a dumb queston but im learning about ported boxes,its a new thang to me

i'd tune to 30hz then, for a daily driver that will dominate lows, or 35-38hz for a box that will get loud and still have decent lows, but never go below a subs FS, just my opinion.

I had an SX15 in 4.5cuft tuned to 31hz daily awhile back...it lived it :-)

You have a great sub there man.

i just hate it when u listening bass songs and all of a sudden ur lows just drop,there dead.and at the same time i want it loud on every note

might want to design a bandpass or 4th order box then. reg slot ported cant dominate every note.

build an abc box, will have awsome lows and get very loud if done correctly, only thing is its gonna be around 7cf. talk to sean i know hes done some abc's before.

abc boxes dont have to be that large that one was 7 cubes but didnt have to be

the enclouser volume is determined by what sub he's useing, since it uses the 1/3 princibal, so if a "regular" ported box is 4.5cf and abc box should be around 6cf, but ported is easier and will achieve almost the same results.

It could be less than that...I personaly believe the 1/3 rule is a rough guide and can be adjusted ....some depends on the vehicle too
