Just watching the games today...and i have come to the realization that the number 2,3,and 4 teams are way better then the number 1 team, but if the 1 team doesnt lose they will get to play for the national title, even tho they dont play any real hard teams?? How the F@ck does that work....

people forget how much talent USC has, and until thier first real game in the pac 10 they will be number 1 and then if they play bad they will drop.

i think it should be
1.oklahoma
2.usc
3.lsu
4.florida
5.west verginia

It's too early to worry about polls and ranks.

The two most impressive teams this year are both in the SEC - Florida and LSU. that matchup on oct 6 will determine 1 spot in the championship game.

Oklahoma has a moderate schedule - big game v. Texas
USC - easy schedule but who knew UCLA and ND were going to be bad. CAL is decent this year, might scare SC. Oregon is having a great year too.

WV - play somebody. please. and they play in the Big Easy.

Cal, Tex, Wisc are good.

Keep an eye on Ohio St. they could easily run the board in an off-year for the big 10.

my ranks:

1. SC
2. LSU
3. Florida
4. OKlahoma
5. TX
6. WV
7. Ohio St.
8. Cal

Why SC #1? Consistency.

I am an Oregon Duck fan and yes I know they dont have a shot at playing for a national championship. But they are gonna give USC a run for their money. Oregon's offense is pretty damn good this year.

miami is not a sh!tty team, they whooped up on texas A&M. florida almost got beat by ole miss, usc couldnt score 40 on idaho. oklahoma has the most consistently balanced offense out of all the teams, but thier pass defense is somewhat suspect.

Half of Florida's players from last year are playing on Sundays and most of their guys are new, all that really matters is that they win. Last year when they won the national championship(Beat UBER Ohio St 41-14 or something), they beat tennessee and south carolina by 1 pt. And then they went on and destroyed osu. Who cares if you blow out crap teams? What counts is that you win when it matters..

And it's called the BCS, and it blows...

ill agree with charlie on the fact that the BCS blows cause it does. we should have a 8 team playoff series. 1 play 8 and so on. all teams seeded accordingly

wow someone mentioned BC thats amazing they have a great team this year but wont be able to tell till the play fsu, clemson, and vt but they still playing great so far. They have had a great team the last couple years its just o'brien screwed them cause he liked to keep the games close the new coach just likes to run up the score which is good for this team. There def not # 1 quality but there def a great underdog this yr
