I am goign for an SQ system. Have Diamond Audio 3 way comp up front. and a jl 10w6v2 in the the rear and an alpine 7897 controlling. Prolly going to run 4 channels to the front and no speakers in the rear of my saturn ion. Should i get a 3xs crossover or an ew or is the one in the alpine perfect? Would i compromise anything b jsut running two channels upfront?
bridge a 4 channel amp for the front channels.. you'll get max output into a 4 Ohm stereo load. use the alpine for EQ and crossover unless after doing so you're displeased with the result. the simpler you keep the signal path, the cleaner it stays. rear fill isn't needed unless you have people in the back of the car a lot.
