Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 5613 Registered: Jun-04 | Hope this clears it all up ok first heres what you gave 33 wide by 22 deep by 17.75 high I took those to mean measurements on the outside of the box then I changed your box demensions externally to 33 wide by 24 deep by 17.75 high so if use the measurements inside the box you would get 5.36153 cubic feet net and net means actual useable space after all wood and speakers are placed inside the box then instead of a 2 inch wide port I changed it to 2.25 inches wide by 16.25 inches high for proper port function airflow wise then that changed your port lengths (both of them) to 20.5 inches deep and gave you a port tune of 37.34 hz so heres how you build it 33 inches wide (external measurements) by 24 inches deep (external measurements0 by 17.75 high (external measurements) then add the ports like in your drawing but change the scetch to 2.25 inches wide each port and make the height the same as your scetch but to make the port change your scetch from 11.25 inches total length to 20.5 inches total length as far as a box tuned to 40 hz they will sound like crap music wise dont do it....and if your box sounds better with the subsonic set lower than 39 hz on a 40 hz port tune then you probably dont have a 40hz port tune.....and by the way playing lower than your port tune can damage your subwoofer |
