i installed my rl-p in a sealed box with plenty of airspace.. (this is in my 1986 trans am).. it lacks that "bump" that im looking for.. that hard hit that you can fell in your chest and that clean hit.. it gets loud but sound kinda muddy.. wondering what could be the problem.. can it be RCA's? or the ecoustics of my car? the box is sealed and calked everywhere so theres no air leaks.. any ideas?
dang sam im in the same boat u are..i have a 1991 Pontiac firebird and i have a prefab dual 12" box (sealed) and im cutting out the middle and extending it to fill up the well area and then it will be big enough for one 12" BTL..hopefully wat happen to u wont happen to me...I want that BTL to DUMP!! and i want to feel it everywere!!
like other cars ive been in with older shitty cvr's in prefab boxes have that chest thump that i cant get.. i dont get it.. i guess its my box.. would a box that is too small do this? maybe i should go with 1 or 2 12's instead of a 15
