Well i'm wanting to buy a JBL 1200.1 for my 10" RF HX2's. But my bro thinks the power from it will blow my altenator in my truck, so he's tryin 2 tell me 2 buy a pioneer 760W amp, which wont even be enough 2 power the speakers.

the 1200.1 draws a max of 114A of current.
That'd be sufficient with 4awg power cable and ground as long as you don't add another amplifier to the 4awg cable.
Try the amp first, and see if you have problems. If you don't, then you're fine.
If your voltage rails sad, then worry about a bigger alternator of having your stock one beefed up.
the proper fuse rating for that amp will be 120A, not 200A.

The JBL is fine. Most likely it will only be running at 700- 800RMS unless its 1200 RMS but i doubt it.
