Looking at:
Phoenix Gold High Octane R9.0;5
Pyle Plad 618 (6 Channel)
Memphis Baby Bell
Kicker ZX700.5
Other suggestions

In a 2001 Chevy Silverado ext Cab, I have Memphis Audio 6.5 PRC620's with Polk db1000 tweets in the front with Polk db460's in the rear passenger doors with a new Panasonic CQ-C3303U head unit...

I also want to add a 12" Sub with a fitted enclosure. Take suggestions there too.

Thanks

K... No on the Pyle... That's why I'm askin... Memphis and Kicker are a little up there on the budget...

I live in Memphis -so it's got home town advantage if paycheck provides... If I where to hear that PG was better for my buck, then I'd go for that...

Kicker looks good too if it's as good as the Bell, but if I won the lottery, I think my whole system would be Memphis -Cuz I'm a hick with a muddy truck in Memphis YEEHAW!

Seriously, I don't know anything about what's out there and I appreciate your input.

Rob's amp suggestion looks VURYNICE!
100 x 4 @4Ohm (12.5v @.05%THD) + 600 x 1 @1Ohm
175 x 4 @2Ohm (12.5v @.05%THD)
350 x 2 @4Ohm (12.5v @.05%THD)

JL,
I'm on a (pay as you build plan)... That's why I want to get a good quality 5-channel that I can build around.

I'm looking at spending $200-$600 (new or used) on an amp -and I could go more or less if the right deal comes along.

I'm trying to get a knowledge base and create a wish list so I can zero in on something. I just don't have anyone around me to bounce ideas.

I was at this random circuit city near my house and heard a 700.5. It was real nice and it was in this like Mazdaspeed 6 with 4 eclipse or polk speakers, and the whole setup sounded good. It was pushing a 12" Kicker L5, which sorry square sub fans, but I do not really like, and that sub was bumpin for not having its own amp, i had no idea itd sound that good.

If you want trouble free operation, get 2 amps, 1 4 channel, and 1 sub amp.
You will find that, often with 5 channel or 6 channel amps, the amp is very large in size, and lack power when it comes to subs. They also get hot easily during summer.
This is why it's better for install as well as operation to separate the comp amp with sub amp.

OK, here goes a wish list for multi channel:
E.D. NINe.5 if it becomes avail soon
Phoenix Gold High Octane R9.0;5
Kicker ZX700.5
Memphis Baby Bell
(not in order of preference, but close)

I see what yur sayin about a 4 channel and then a seperate sub amp... I may be feelin it, cuz I haven't purchased a sub with enclosure yet... I was kinda thinkin with a truck, one amp would be cleaner in the back or under back seat mount...
I was looking at a Q rear center consol with a 12 sub, or a down fire under rear seat.

Anybdy got a sweet set up suggestion for a '01 chevy 2500HD xtra cab?

Thnx

What about "Directed" for an amp choice? What amps in my previous choices would you compare them with?
