i notice a big difference at high volume. its much louder. batteries ftw. lol.

the install came at a high price though. i dropped the board on my audiocontrol eqx and it cracked the circuit board. damn i am so angry right now.

anyways on the bright side, it pounds. when the new box goes in it will be insane.

btw couldn't work on the box at all cause the battery installation took too long. next week will be the box.

You're using red wires for your grounds chad? :-( At least run some electric tape on them in rings,I know you know what the wires are but accidents happen and people get confused and cross wires because they're the same color.Just a little input that you probably don't care about lol.

No problem Chad.My wires are actually the same color but I ran rings of electrical tape around the grounds and it's very obvious what wire is which :-) Oh what exactly did you use in your terminal? Is that a threaded rod with just a wing nut?

yeah. i picked it up at sears for $5 a pair. it comes with a shorter threaded rob so i had to buy an longer one which is only a dollar for a pair. so altogether it came out to $6 plus tax. it works well.

at extremem high volume, it sounds loud. before there was a limit it reached when the volume went up to a certain point. now it gets louder and louder as i turn the volume up.

rofl we are chatting here like its aim. its too bad we can't get on aim during work. oh well.

anyways "nothing fancy" is the best. why spend money on those fancey battery terminals when the simple ones work just as well. we might not get the bling bling but i am all about performance rather than looks.

Did you use a vice to put on your wire terminals? That's the most time consuming part of the whole ordeal.I used the bolt on set screw terminals in my install, they save an azzload of time and when you want to pull em off your wire isn't all chopped up.

did you charge the batteries before you installed them?

You don't have to charge the batts before you install them within 6 months from when you received them from Kinetik.I charged mine by installing them and driving around for a few days without any amps hooked up to them.

i measured the voltage right before i istalled them and they were fine. some do charge it at low amperage but i figured it was ok since the manual said what rob just said.
