Idk guys..i had my 12" Q in a sealed 1.3 cu.ft enlcosure and it was like popping when it would try to get a low low note...then i put it in a 4.0 cu.ft box tuned to 35 hz and it sounded obviously louder but no where near to what u guys are saying this this can do????whats up??im giving it 1000 wrms and its in a good box!!! I mean dont get me wrong its clean as can be but i just suspected louder...maybe my setting are wrong or something...or maybe i was just used to my MTX 9500...i just sold it to get the Q and i kinda miss it because it was loud and sorta clean...but idk. Really i was just wondering wat other Fi Q owners have put up for number wise..(12 or 15) ????
ya thats wat i thought to canaan but i had the box laying around so i thought id try. But it did slam the heck outta those lows with that box and for the tuning i thought it was good since usually you'd tune a little lower for a Q
icic...does he have a video of it on ROE or anything like that?? see the problem is, is that i have a 1991 firebird right..well i dont have alot of room..so thats why i have a sealed box which goes in the well area and it looks clean and flush!! but i wish i had the room to go ported...but do u guys think it would be possible to do 143 db + with two of them(sealed)...cuz im gonna be ordering the other one here soon!!!
dont plan on getting much louder then that sealed with a 12. Remember Mike was using a 15. Now if you had 2 and 2000 watts then yes things are possible.
see thats the thing i do have another amp...its quite large and would prolly over power the Q's but its an MA audio hk802sx...and yes i will be getting another 12" Q so ill have 2 of them....
