Mono amp (noob question) simple question

Does this mean i cant run two subs to this amp and only one? Are mono amps meant for only one subs? (hence the word mono)Sorry but i just dont want to end up buying something i cant return so I have to know.

If you're getting a pair of subs you need either single 4 ohm voice coils, or dual 2 ohms. you'd wire them like this... or like this
