Hey. I just got a 13w7 and a 1000/1 in a sealed prowedge jl box. Its really not as loud as i thought it would be. I think a ported box would be alot louder than this sealed one, but it costed me alot of money. Could i just drill out a 4" hole in the side and it would be technically ported? would this be a bad idea?

don't do that. besides you can't just drill a hole and be done with. you would have to stick a pipe in there. but really don't do that. build yourself a nice ported box.

The Prowedge was built to be a sealed design. It's too small to port. It wouldn't be too difficult to build a basic ported box for a w7

i dont know the specs on the box but the easiest way to "port" the box would be a circular design. go to PSP-inc.com and buy a port from there its simple and there is a calculator on there to find out wat size port u need. also you just have to cut a small hole in ur box then screw the port in, quite simple. good luck
