I've got a Kenwood 6 CD Changer (KDC-C465) and I'm connecting it to a Kenwood Head Unit (KRC-479R).
The headunit doesnt seem to regonise the Cd Changer and when you go through the "Source" options it has no CD option, but the usual tape, Tuner, now has one called AUX and All off.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get it to recognise it??
Its a brand new cable too and the cd changer ejects the discs, etc...
I have just sold this same changer and had problems running it in a vw golf. VW have their own wiring system and the facia didn't recognise the changer. I'v been told it's to do with the polarity of the wiring and a matter of changing 2 wires round at the back of the facia unit. Unfortunately not sure what wires. Good car shop or spark could tell you. If this helps, do you know where I can get my hands on a copy of the instruction manual? Cheers
