hey guys, ive had my setup for a few months now, and im pretty pleased..i want somethin more tho and i think its my box. i originally wanted ported, but got talked into sealed. I have a kicker l7 sealed 15" in a 01 eclipse. i had to get a custom sealed enclosure to fit in there. you think it would make the diff. gettin a ported box?? thnx
ok first, you need to determine what the speakers are made for.. not all drivers work in both box types. you need the TS stats 9should come with the subs, or download the tech specs from their website) and calculate the EBP here's how:
Efficiency Bandwidth Product (EBP) EBP = Fs / Qes 50 or less = best used in a sealed enclosure. 50 - 90 = flexible enclosure options. 90 or greater = best used in ported enclosure.
use this thread or make a new thread abuot your sub, size, room yuo have, ported or sealed. people will help, if not, then someone will give yuo a site

I have it setup with a memphis pr 1000.1 amp in a 01 eclipse hatch, so space is a problem. the enclosure i have now is sealed and the sub is faced upwards due to space restrictions. please let me know the best way to build a box w/ a port w/ enough room, thanks a ton guys
