ur wires were still connected too the amp though (speaker wires) sounds like u need to check your ground or power wire...it also seems like ur amp is still on im guessing so its not a fuse.. check your ground first see if its getting a really good connect then disconnect power and reconnect... see if that works if not...then we got a prob some wiring friction
static whatever u wanna call it my homie had a problem with that too its usually cheap rcas, just check your ground connection and reset ur amp by taking power out and putting back in also check ur wiring see if the ohm load is correct other than that it could be a bad wiring static for some reason from hu could be r.e.m
check your coils of the sub use a aa batteri and wire like an amp for each coil if it make a tinny noise your coil is fine check both maybe u got one blown coil, then check the internals of your amp u may have a blow mosfet or cap.
