I've had that happen to two amps.. one of the mounting screws that went through the amp hit a wire.. Did you mount your amp to a piece of wood.. and then the wood to the car.. ? How was it mounted? |

Gold Member Username: BestmankindFi AudioBTL Post Number: 7494 Registered: Oct-05 | we gave it away. i contacted memphis and they wanted $200 to fix that amp. he bought a 02 bmw 525i couple of years ago and the previous owner had that amp in there. the car came with memphis 500d amp and 2 memphis 10 inch subs. he ended up replacing the amp with a jbl 600 amp. |

Tell the guy you bought the amp for 100 and he'll fix the amp in that price range. Thats how some electronics places do it to me. I tell them I got the amp for 300 and they say it cost 150 to fix! Didn't even look at it just said it'll be 150. See if you can get it fixed for a reasonable price. Test it when you get it back, and sell it. Or sell it online for 100, 110 loss. We'll see what you can do. |
