ha i dont really know anything about security systems but could some one give me some ideas on what i should be looking for???? i want an auto starter and a good alarm......also how hard is it to install myself???? im good with wires and electronics and im also prety good when it comes to cars soo if anyone could give me some ideas that would be great...my budget is about $250 Thanks
DEI makes pretty good remote start/alarm combo units. The Python line is decent for what it sounds like you are looking for. As for installing it yourself, you have to be able to measure wires for "signals" and know the wires you are looking to tie into. Other than that, it's pretty easy. But don't get me wrong, it can be a pain when you don't have the right diagrams or wire codes at all. Also you have to look at if you have the coded key, cause if you do it means more parts that will have to be installed to bypass that feature for remote start. Anymore questions, just ask....
