I purchased an early 90's VW cassette deck and am installing it in a non VW car. It is made in Japan and has a label with the connections. I lose the station presets every time the ignition is turned off. I realize I could put the power to a non switched +12v but would prefer not to run the risk of leaving it on and have the .42 amp drain the battery over a few days. I wonder if there is a separate pin for a non switched +12V that would hold the memory. There is not a pin labeled as such although there are pins I am not using.
