I blew a sub so I went and got 2 more. I got 2 Xtant 1244 in a ported box for $150. I am goin to run the with the BX1500d, 1500 watts at 1 ohm. Is that too much for these?
Also, what size speaker wire should I have wiring these together and 2 the amp? Does it matter?
Yeah those subs are 500 wrms. That amp is going to be a little overrated, so you should be just fine. As for the speaker wire I would go with some 12 gauge, even 14 gauge will be fine. I run my sub on 10 gauge but that is just me and it is probably just overkill. Those are nice subs btw.
