174 dBs vs 160 dBs

I dont get this, ha ha i would like some opinions.

American bass claims 174 dBs with two VFL 15s

Pete from team toxic bass hit 160 with two soundstream triple X 15s.

Now those of you who kno ur subs kno the triple X 15s from soundstream make the VFL 15s look like M&Ms...

What u think?

174db w/ VFLs was in an extreme vehicle.

concrete and steal...VERY small cabin.

you would need reinforced glass to withstand 174 db and reinforced metal around the car or that would also break!!!174 is intense ud need at least 5 to 10000watts rms or some really efficient subs

90% install, 10% equiptment in high end SPL comp cars. its all about manipulating the mic.

but 174 vs. 160 is like almost 5X as loud.

Now 160 with music for a daily car is a different story :-) Youll be seeing more of these pop up in the not too distant future...
