Say I have 3 dual 4 ohm subs and I want to achieve as close to 1 ohm as possible... can I wire two of them at 8 ohms, and the other at 2 ohms, then wire them all together for a final load of 1.333 or will this somehow hurt the sub(s)?

If I can do this, will it hurt my amp to run them at 1.333 ohms?

I've never run an odd number of subs, always 2 or 4. Please help!

It didn't mention anything about being able to wire them at different impediances for a 1.333ohm load. It only said I can run them at 2.67ohms or 6 ohms :-(

Well, I'm buying Issac's 3-10" xtants.. they're 250wrms each and my amp will put out 700rms *according to specs, according to ecoustics it'll do 650 or so* and I want to have enough power to them..

the reason im buying them is because my 15"s are being underpowered by about 300-350 watts, and the the other ones would be powered perfect at 1 ohm with 900-1000 watts.

I suppose 600 or so is okay :\

Id like to... If I wire up just two I'll be putting 900-1000 watts rms to two subs that are 500 max each. imo, that might be a little too close to the limit for 10"s.. what's your opinion?
