i went to 12Volt and put in the same cubic feet and port area with the same tune and got 40inches....

37 is still nowhere near 40. lol

wtf...looks like i am having Steve Head(2003Iasca World Champion) build my box again. lmao

muddy...the box you designed in that link is right on the money.

you dont measure port lenth by the teal and violet peices....you measure the center line of the port.

also, since one wall of the port is the wall of the box...the port will act like it is 1/2 a port width longer than it physically is.

thank you marshall!!!!!!!

i was starting to lose my mind. lol

i never thought of it like that...so if i measure the outer wall of the port it would be even longer than 42 inches....

the one thing about subwoofer tools you have to mess around with is the Wooofer Xmax....is has a pre-designated Sq.In. of port per cube for X" subwoofer with X mm's of xmax...if you can see what i am saying.

a 12" with 27mm of xmax on that site gives me like 20-22sq.in. of port per cube...i simply don't need that much. i know the higher the tune the more port area that is recommended...but the lower aka 30hz....20-22 sq.in. of port os kind of asinine to me.

once again, thank you very much marshall, and you too kebo if he beat you to it.:-) haha
