I am ordering a fresh recone from DD monday...dual .7ohm.

just got it from David Shmidt (sp?)....$150 :-)

the D's are the only triple stacked motor from what i have gathered....50lbs+ :-)

how much was the recone btw? i got the 35.1 today.. sure has a sh!t load of hot glue in there :P but when you said it was dinged its not all that bad.. can't wait to get her shine on lol. did you get the RE 8"s today?

I emailed DD today and a recone kit is about $150 :-)...i'm might attempt to recone it myself...lol

yea, i called and the 8's are at my house.

i got to the elevator and it wasnt working! i was p!ssed. the dorms are brand new...this is the first semester anyone has lived here!!!

cheap @$$ contractors.

one good thing about this dorm though...my roommate moved out last wednesday and i didnt get a new one.

awesome.. and thats not bad at all for a recone kit.. woul be a good experience to do it yourself.. can't be that hard. i mean honestly the hardest part would be doing the tinsel leads. pfft. should not be bad. never done it before but it don't seem too complicated

marshall i heard dd wont sell you a recone kit unless they know u can do it yourself cause they dont want people to do a bad job then blame them for there reconing if you knwo what i mean not sure if its true just what i heard

and marshall my B is a triple stack aswell i love the thing i think mine weighs 52 or something 54 i forget its huge though magnets look amazing on it

Charlie...my motor is a beast too :-)...its got a bunch of scratches on it, but its gonna be in the box anyway.

Where are the cooling vents on the top plate of your motor? closer to the magnet slugs or the basket?

I was told mine was a 'D'.

I emailed DD and they said they will ship me a recone kit. I have a few boxes to build this weekend, so i should order early next week.

mine vents are rectangular ones they are right on top of the magnets i will try t get at it thi weekend and take it out of the box its in an steal my dads camera since mine broke ill see what i can and muddy ill try to get the pics of my new car up

I cleaned all the old glue off the basket this weekend. Its ready for a recone now. I even have the carbon fiber dust cap.

ya mine has the push terminals so who knows maybe they changed it on it like half way or something idk but thats the same motor assembly i have
