I'm looking at the MB Quarts for comps (either the QSC's or QSD's), since they seem reasonably priced (on ebay) and like they'll fit in my doors. The MB Quart site says they have a power handling of 80-150W or 90-170W. Is the bottom rating the RMS power? If so, will the JL Audio 300/2 be a good amp to drive them?

they will take the higher rating as long as you keep the gains under control. start sending clipped signals and they will get too hot and you'll blow them. example - my 180 watt rated Rainbow's are getting 250 watts and shine :-)

that should be a nice setup if you like the way the MB Quarts sound. sound is subjective. good quality stuff though.
