Ok so I had some really bad alternator whine that cleared right up when I connected some extra wire from the rca connector to the back of my headunit. I only did it on one rca, so that was the only speaker that cleared, the rest still had whine. Does this mean the rcas are bad? I really don't wanna connect wires to all my rcas. What could be the prob?

sry to hijack this thread, but i have a 860mp and recently had the alt whine, although i just brought a ground loop isolator and got rid of the noise. What was the common fix? I don't think mine was a ground problem tho, since i hear a buzzing whenever my car is in the "on" position.

@ Technique - I suggest if the rca's shielding is light, to get some more rca's with thicker shielding. If the noise persist try a gli. It's more of a band-aid but you won't hear the noise anymore.
