Speaker wire question

Ok, I found our the other day that my pre amp is shot on my panasonic cd player. That disables all of my SW-OUT, Pre Amp REAR and FRONT RCA connections. I still have my AUX 1 and 2 outs that work, cause i hooked up my ipod to test them. Now, I have subs and an amp that need that SW out or the REAR out from the cd player. I know it can be done, but how. My question is how do I take my speaker wires and make them RCA Cables for my amplifier so everything works again? Or will i have to bit the bullet with a new cd player? I hear stories and have seen subs in factory cars with no rca outs on their factory cd player. I guess my next question, is it possible to ignore my pre amp and just rig it up with the wires to rca to make it work?

LOC (Line output converter). You'll lose quality compared to using pre-outs of the head unit, but it works.

In all honesty, it would probably be best to just get a new head unit.
