Hey everyone i went to the local car audio store today and they had both the Memphis Mojo 15 and the JL 13W7 in local cars up their. Well the Mojo had the mojo amp running at 1,100 watts RMS and the JL had the JL 1000/1 amp running at 1000 watts RMS, Other then the different amp and subs they had the same setup. On the Decible Meter the Mojos hit harder, but the SQ wasnt all their, but it still sounded good. Even though the JL lost is spl it did sound alot better and it still beat, so i was just wanting to ask two questions, one Why aint the Memphis Mojo ever entered in the loudest spl subs with RE, ADIRE AUDIO, and JL? My second question is that, has anyone heard both these subs because im debating on what to get, In my oppinion i want SPL so i think im going to go with the Mojo setup. I can get the Memphis Mojo 15" with warrentee, amp, wire, and custom built box for $1300 and the JL setup with the 13.5" for around 1600, which do you guys suggest?
Personally I'd go with the W7 setup, but my opinion is also bias, since i own a 10W7. I would rather have loud beats that sound excellent, then have really loud beats , that don't sound as good. I don't understand ppl having super loud bass that sounds like s*it. Do they want to be noticed? Did they not get enough attention as a child? anyways ask yourself this: do you need attention from ppl on the streets, or do you want really clean sounding bass? Go with the W7, you won't regret it.
Yea that is true but the Mojo also sounded good in the inside it amazed me, its just a notch below the W7 in my opinion but on the outside it sounded like crap everything was rattling.
MOJO has way more out put than the W7.. Also whos to say, they arent been used in competition?? They are beeing used ALL the time! I would even say a MOJO is louder than most REs! And a good installer/tester of mines, say they hit harder than everything else he tests, maybe 1-2db louder! Of course the JL sounded better, but in the right box tuned low 30 higher 20s, the MOJO can sound good.
No one said they aren't being used in competition. that doesn't require a double question mark since no one even mention competition. And i never mentioned anything about output either bud. read the thread. neways i knew i'd get flamed by some SPL lovers out there but it's just my opinion. flame on!
